The national bestseller and the first volume in Cormac McCarthy's Border Trilogy, All the Pretty Horses is the tale of John Grady Cole, who at sixteen finds himself at the end of a long line of Texas ranchers, cut off from the only life he has ever imagined for himself. Thank you for sending me the book, angelface46. I am excited to read this book.
Up next to read. I am trying hard to work on my KTM books this year.
From reading reviews, I am in the minority in that I really did not enjoy the book. I had to force myself to finish it. I only finished it because it is a 1001 book to read before you die. I will pass the book along.
Enjoy! off to cbostler for the ABC virtual bookbox. Trust she enjoys the book more than I did.
All the Pretty Horses arrived in the mail today (Saturday) and I plan to begin reading on Monday.
I selected the book from Booklady331's virtual bookbox because the title sounded very familiar and endearing. My daughter is passionate about horses, and loves reading books about them. I was sure All the Pretty Horses had spent time in her little bookcase years ago.
Ha! The joke's on me. She did read a book with this same title, but it was an illustrated children's book by Susan Jeffers. She knows nothing about this adult novel by Cormac McCarthy.
I look forward to reading the book. Perhaps it's something I can pass along to her when I finish.

I started to read this book, but am unwilling to continue. All the Pretty Horses and I are just not a good match. Thanks, Booklady331, for the opportunity to give it a try.
This book is on the wishlist of Boekentrol from the Netherlands. I am mailing it to her today.

This book arrived safely in my mailbox today. Thank you so much, cbostler, for thinking of me when you finished this book and for sending it all across the ocean!
I'm looking forward to read it, or at least to give it a try :-)
