I picked this book up at a used book shop because I saw it on the NPR top 100 Sci-fi/Fantasy book list.
Product Description
All the creatures of the night gather in "the Hollows" of Cincinnati, to hide, to prowl, to party ... and to feed.
Vampires rule the darkness in a predator-eat-predator world rife with dangers beyond imagining -- and it’s Rachel Morgan's job to keep that world civilized.
A bounty hunter and witch with serious sex appeal and an attitude, she'll bring 'em back alive, dead ... or undead.

This is a fun, fast book - good characters, neat premise, action, humor - I liked it, but can't quite figure how you can put this book on par with the likes of Orson Scott Card, Connie Willis and other such authors on the NPR list. This book is pure fluff. My favorite part was when Jenks and Nick were comparing scars - I found it rather funny :)
I have one 'pet' peeve though - to set the record straight minks are NOT rodents. Mink are carnivores, they have canine teeth, they eat meat - they are NOT rodents!!
Okay - I feel better now....

I am taking this fluffy book to the Calgary Bookcrossing meeting at the Joshua Tree Cafe to find a new reader.
Enjoy!
Enjoy!
Grabbed at get together
Forgot I had this on my shelf, but glad I finally found and read it!
It took me a little bit to get into since at first I couldn't relate to the characters, but as the story got going I really got into it and enjoyed it. I also realized a good ways in that my cousin had actually recommended this series to me years ago, so that was neat!
Thanks for the fun read!

Taken to get together~
I picked this up at the October BookCrossing meeting to add to my pile.
Definitely, Rachel certainly reminds me of Stephanie Plum - she has so many bizarre things happen to her. The book was a fun read.
I am taking this book to the April meetup at Cravings.
Picked up at the April meeting!
Taken to the April meeting, but only 50 paged, as I couldn't get into the main character - she annoyed me.
To the finder:
Calgary has an active group of BookCrossers that meet to swap books and discuss book crossing every second Saturday of the month at 11am at Cravings Market on Fairmount Drive SE. We always love to meet new crossers, so please join us any time you like!

Picked up at the April meeting, we had 11 attendees with 2 new ones. As usual I came home with too many books.
