Sing You Home: A Novel

One of Jodi's better books - and of course, deals with a controversial topic - who owns frozen embryos in a divorce? Zoe is an infertile music therapist. After her divorce from Max, she falls in love with a woman. Max goes to live with his brother Reid and wife Liddy, who draw him into their evangelical, literal Bible church. When Zoe wants her partner to use the embryoes, a legal battle ensues with gay rights and the "right" Biblical marriage drawing lines down the center of the courtroom battle. Although some characters were very stereotypical, I was glad to see that Max and Liddy were allowed in the end to breathe and show some foibles. It also seemed like the "right" ending for the book. I also learned a lot about music and music therapy from the book and downloaded the sound track, although I didn't listen to the tracks with the book.
