The title says it all... that's what happens when reading this novel - you are lost in a good book, the bizarre world of Thursday Next. Not completely lost though, because of constantly being interrupted by giggling fits (Miss Havisham for example). And after reading The Eyre Affair this was what I expected. Recommendable.

New Year RABCK for marsala!
Happy reading and all the best for 2012!

Journal Entry 3 by marsala at Chiswick, Greater London United Kingdom on Monday, January 9, 2012
Thank you very much! It will go to the top of my reading pile. It's been a while since I read the eyre affair, so I can't wait to get stuck in this one.

On the front cover it says: Forget all the rules of time, space and reality. Just sit back and enjoy the ride. I think that's an excellent way to describe this book, it's amazing the things Fford comes up with. I would never have thought of it, but then when it happens it's so obvious.

Oh my! Great, funny, amazingly crazy story again! I loved the first of these Thursday Next - books, and this second one was as good as it. I am amazed about the imagination of Mr. Fforde - so brilliant! Can't wait to get the next part in my hands :)

Now trying to find another reader for this!

Okay, the book has been at my bookshelf for over two years and I just don't feel like picking it up. I'd like to like these Thursday Next books, but it seems that I can't get into them, at least not now. Therefore I'll release this book for someone else to enjoy.

I took the book from Finncon. I've read other Fforde books and enjoyed them, so I'm sure I'll like this one too.

Journal Entry 12 by -solaria- at Turku, Varsinais-Suomi / Egentliga Finland Finland on Saturday, December 20, 2014
I'm not so familiar with the classics of the English literature, but I enjoyed the book nonetheless. Witty and funny, and I liked the alternative 1985 Fforde has created.

Edit a week later: If only I waited for a bit before reading this book: I saw the miniseries "Great Expectactions" on TV and now I know about Miss Havisham and her story! Well, I must say she acted a bit different here than in the original story...

The book will be looking for new readers at a local meet-up. Happy reading!
