Lori Shepherd is on her way to Wyrdhurst Hall to evaluate its owners' rare book collection. The grim, neo-Gothic castle, the bookx, and the journey to this remote and misty corner of Northumberland are full of surprises - some pleasant and some not. One pleasant surprise meeting Adam Chase, a handsome, charming stranger. Lori falls under Wyrdhurst's spell - and Adam's - when she unearths a cache of World War I letters that tell of doomed love and hint at a treasure hidden in the hall. It will take all of Dimity's supernatural skills to help Lori solve the puzzle and restore peace to a family haunted by its tragic past.

Finally finished today. I just love Aunt Dimity although in this story Aunt Dimity doesn't really act a lot. It's more Lori who beats the devil ;-)
