I loved this book. The main character, Ash O'Halloran was a very likable character, and I felt compassion for her issues. I also liked the other characters in the book. I liked the way Ash came to a better understanding with her over-critical cousin by the end of the book.
Journal Entry 4 by tabby-cat-owner at Book Box, A Bookbox -- Controlled Releases on Monday, March 12, 2012
Released 12 yrs ago (3/12/2012 UTC) at Book Box, A Bookbox -- Controlled Releases
CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:
This book is going into the Irish Authors bookbox. The bookbox will be mailed to KarmelK of Jerome, Michigan.
Taken from tabby-cat-owner's Irish Authors Bookbox. I look forward to trying another new author - thank you for the opportunity!
This was my first by Sheila O'Flanagan but it won't be my last - I loved it and devoured the nearly 600 pages in a couple days.
At first I didn't like Ash very much but my respect for her grew as she lowered her defenses (and as I realized I was actually envious of her because 1) she's tidy and 2) she can cook ;-). The other characters were interesting as well, even those that weren't very nice. I guess family dynamics are pretty similar no matter where or who you are! A few times I worried how it turn out, but the ending was satisfying.
Thanks to Flossie771 and tabby-cat-owner for sharing this!
