This was a very interesting look at the auto industry in the US with respect to both domestic and international players in the game of selling cars. It personally applies to me on a couple of different levels.

I highly recommend it. Since my wife and I have both read it, I'm going to offer it to some co-workers at the new job.

Living in Detroit for three years taught me a great deal about the Big Three and car culture. Coming from a Honda family, said culture really rubbed me the wrong way, but I could never adequately articulate why. I am extremely grateful to Micheline Maynard for giving me the terms I needed to voice my discontent with the American auto industry. Cliff disagrees with me on this, but I think the author's tone is pretty measured toward the Big Three. This one is going to a friend here in Germany first, but we'll ask for it back so it can travel.
