Book bestemd voor Bookcrossing Monopoly2011

Hallo daar, vinder!

Als je dit leest, heb je een boek gevonden. Gefeliciteerd!

Hopelijk is het iets dat je leuk vindt; zo niet, dan heeft het je toch tenminste hier gebracht en dat is ook wat waard. Je mag het boek gerust doorgeven aan iemand anders, of zomaar ergens achterlaten.

Ondertussen was je toch maar mooi nieuwsgierig genoeg om op deze site te komen kijken en dat vind ik erg leuk. Kijk gerust wat rond. Veel plezier! Mocht dit je eerste vangst zijn en word jij ook bookcrosser, kun je overwegen passmaster als new member referral opgeven.

Team Boot had an extra release, we could collect the Pink. Brainstorming brought us from Pink (singer) to Pink Floyd (rock band), from Pink Panther (Movies, Comics as well as the diamond) to Pink Elephants (not drunk enough too see them) but we stayed at Pink Ribbon which is related to Breast Cancer. Perfect timing would be in October, but since we were in bed in round 12, it took some time to recover.

The book itself deals with cancer and all aspects, from the moment of diagnosing to the end, not only meant for patients, but also for family, aquaintances, medical people etc. It is an interesting book (in Dutch) and it reads easy, no difficult words, and it gives tools; to keep in contact, how to help, etc. A picture of the book ready for release.

Releasing this book in a hospital was a possibility, but Pink Ribbon tries to create awareness for Breast Cancer. Team Boot wants to do the same in this forum and BC MP, since the release itself will (hopefully) be found by someone, who perhaps does not see the link with Pink ribbon. The place we therefore selected is in Zutphen, in a "hofje", where in the past poor people of the city could find a place to sleep amd food to eat. In that hofje there is a statue of a sunbathing woman.

The pink ribbon we attached to the plastic bag with the book was not wide enough to get it over the head, so we had to improvise. The release was finally done next to the statue and an extra Pink Ribbon was place on the bag to make the connection.
