Lisa St Clair is missing, her policeman husband has been shot and it's up to Spenser to find out if Lisa was abducted or left of her own accord. Why is Lisa's personal history so cloudy? Why did she change her name? Has her shady past finally caught up with her?
The Beard brought this over to France to read on the plane, and really enjoyed it.
It's a fast moving, page-turner, but I couldn't help seeing Robert Ulrich's face on every page! We both enjoyed it enough for me to look out for more "Spenser" books in Thrift shops etc.
I think I'll hang on to this for a couple of days and set it free at the cafe-eymet OBCZ, here in Eymet.
