Synopsis (Credit: Back cover)
Although The Snow Goose was first published in 1941, it remains one of the best-loved books of modern times, perhaps because the hauntingly moving story of the goose that gave its protection to one of the 'little ships' at Dunkirk so exactly expressed the mood of that perilous time.
The Small Miracle, also included in this volume, tells of a little boy from modern Assisi, and his donkey, and how when it falls ill, he goes to Rome seeking permission to try the only remedy he truly trusts ...
(Bought second-hand at CAFDA Charity Bookshop, Regent Avenue, Sea Point.)
