I also like it when an author knows where to stop... I don't know if Faythe Sanders would be as interesting after ten books, Sookie Stackhouse is already so worn out...
Thanks for organizing this ring!

But how can I live without Faythe now? I want a book about afterlife in cat world. Without adventures. How the little ones grow up and how everybody finds love. I hate, when book series end up just after all adventures, I would like read a few pages epilogy. But I think same as Appelsiini, it is great that Rachel Vincent knows when to stop.
I'll send this tomorrow to Ossiefry.
I loved this book, it had me in tears a few times, but then I've been a bit emotional lately so that wasn't to difficult. Faythe's indecision between Marc and Jace was getting a bit tiresome, but I like the way it turned out. I agree it's a good time for Rachel Vincent to stop, how many adventures can one person go through in so short time?

But I HAVE to know what happens!!! Thank you vampirequeen for this amazing spiral, cannot believe this will be the end :(
I think the fighting should've been in more detail, and although it wasn't exactly quick, it could have been more engaging.
I really liked the ending, it kind of wrapped things up and made my life complete. However I really wish this wasn't the end. I want it to continue, I want to know that a new book is on it's way out, as I want to see how their lives continued on. Guess we may never know.
I have to admit, I was expecting a devastating ending, what with it being the last book in the series, guess that's up to you to decide whether it is or isn't.
I shall send this on in the next few days :)
Prey, book 4, was so all consuming I was almost scared to get started with SHIFT as there are some really important things I ought to be doing just now but when I pick up this addictive series practically nothing else gets done. Hum, will I take a breather between books 4 and 5, so I can work on those "important things" ...that's a good question?
From the beginning I indulged in some teeth gritting as Faythe’s choice between lovers Marc or Jace was not resolved till the last gasp – enervating pacing but I could see in the context of the plot how that was useful. On the plus side of the pacing there is more high-octane action than you could throw a stick at, an old friend re-appears to help out, and the Thunderbirds get in on the action, this time in support of Faythe’s Pride. Marc like a brilliant general comes up with a surprise option on the battle plan that alters the outcome and satisfyingly there are also many issues of deeply conflicted decision making for the characters that are the heart of Vincent’s creations!
So more torturous plotting and heart-wrenching scenes of tragedy – and yes I was in tears at the major tragedy. As the story has been working in my mind since I put the book down I have been wondering what form the future would take for Faythe her friends and family, whom I was certain would support her in her desire to follow her father’s wishes and be the Pride’s Alpha. The terrain is altered but still formidable; what now happens to the council, what will become of those who opposed reform and change now Malone is out of the picture; what about tabbies choices; there’s the issue of human partners; can strays gain recognised positions in Prides? I like the way Alpha ends with some major points altered, yes some really pivotal deaths have occurred, but much could up for grabs.
It’s a good book at that leaves those sorts of issues in its wake!
One last thing let’s all of us raise the roof with a lustily loud and echoing round of cheers for vampirequeen for setting this book-ring-spiral off on adventures that I many happy others could take part in. Many thanks from rainbow3 …

Thanks very much.
Would probably be best to see their future in a tv series than in a book(s). I guess I'll just have to use my imagination until/if that occurs.
Thank you vampirequeen for offering up this great series, very glad I got a chance to read it. Will really miss Faythe and her Pride.
