Lucas Davenport series : 18 : 2008
Book purchased today from the Warrandyte Lions Club op-shop, Yarra Street Warrandyte, to read and release.
From back cover:
"Returning to her luxurious home in an exclusive Minneapolis suburb, a wealthy widow is horrified to find blood everywhere - and her student daughter missing. Instantly, she suspects the involvemnet of the weird Goth crowd her daughter was hanging around with.
With no sign of the widow's daughter, dead or alive, a second Goth is found slashed to death. But it's only when a third turns up dead that Lucas Davenport is reluctantly dragged into the case.
For all Davenport's expertise, the clues don't seem to add up. And then there's the young Goth who keeps appearing and disappearing. Who is she? Where does she come from - and, more importantly, where does she vanish to? Why does Davenport suspect that there's something else going on here? Something very, very bad indeed . . ."

Took me a while to get into this, and I was disappointed.
Found the plot far-fetched, and lacking flow. Ending was predictable in that it seemed the only one.
Here's hoping future readers enjoy it.
