First-choice All Blacks prop Kees Meeuws - a man destined to anchor the New Zealand scrum through to the next World Cup - shocked a rugby nation when he decided to uproot his family and move to France to take up a club contract with Castres. Meeuws, 30, and a veteran of 42 test matches for New Zealand did what very few players have done before. He turned his back on a high-profile lifestyle to sample the delights of rugby Europe-style. In this book, Meeuws tells of the mental anguish he faced as he wrestled with the biggest decision of his career. As well, he talks about his long and distinguished provincial and international career and the demands of being a top rugby player in New Zealand. The main focus, though, will be on Kees' first season with the Castres club in the south of France. This section of the book will be presented in diary form.

New Zealand last won this tournament 24 years ago, also against the French and right now the entire country is holding it's breath for the outcome of tomorrow's match. Go the All Blacks!!!
The book being released seems very appropriate, being the story of a very promising All Black, who decided to give it all up to go and play in France.
