A quick read that lacked subtlety as a thriller. Readeable enough

Nabbed sharpish from the library bookcrossing shelf. I like a bit of Arctic exploration/ expeditions so I'm looking forward to this.

This book made you feel like you were there with the cold and the dark. Properly terrifying, don't read it on your own in bed at night.

I thoroughly enjoyed getting the heebie-jeebies whilst reading this, I thought it was atmospheric and pretty damn spooky, that business with the bear pole getting closer to the hut - brrr!
Highly recommended.

Be afraid, be very afraid! My recommendation is to read this book late at night, when you are alone in the house... but only if you really want to be scared witless.
What a great read.

WOO HOO! I've been wanting to read this for a while. Was well chuffed when I spotted it on the shelf in the library. It was halloween when I found it. A nice ghost story for halloween time. I raced through the book I was reading, so that I could start this one straight away. Thank you!

Thanks for sharing. I enjoyed this exploration into desolation. Wasn't particulary scary reading it. However, walking round a wood in the dark afterwards got me walking/ running faster than usual. One of those that plays with your mind. Loved Isaak. Everybody should have their own Isaak. Captured the landscape well, similarly to 'The Tenderness of Wolves'.

Enjoy!

Am taking this to a meet up at Salcey Forest today, where I will use it as my book for the book swap game. Hope whoever wins this enjoys it.

Wow - it looks like this book has sat on our shelf for a while; not having read for ages; I picked this up; and whilst not my usual cup of tea, it was readble enough. I enjoyed the feeling of some of the adventure and landscapes and liked the relationship that grew with the dog(s). Enjoy.
