A strange book. This probably sums it up best.
A high school student named Blue moves to a new town with her father and makes some... interesting new friends. Blue has read many, many books in her young life and narrates the story like it's a term paper, littering the text with literary references. Interesting at first, but it gets tiring after several hundred pages.
The plot kicks in without warning around page 500, and it's a great one. Whether you like the ending or not probably depends on whether you liked the ending of the TV show "Lost": If you like mysteries and intriguing questions, you'll be satisfied. If you like your intriguing questions to come with some kind of answers, though, you might throw this book across the room after the last page.
