One of the ways I judge a book is how easily I can put it down. This book was not difficult to do so. The main police detective was female, so I expected her to be pursued by the killer, and she was. This is so clichéd when the detective is female. I am trying to think of any story where this happens to a male detective, and right now I can't recall one. Ho-hum. The story line though was reasonable, so hence a score of six.
