This book has been sitting on my tbr for so long. I am so glad i have finally gotton around to reading it. It took me awhile to get into (about 90 pages) as i couldnt get to grips with the formal speech, I found I had to keep going back and re-read sentences, but once i got used to it, i found it very hard to put down. I love Alexia and Lord Maccon. Luckily i have the next 2 books in the series, so will get around to reading them fairly soon ;0)

this was a fun book to read, a nice mixture of vampire and werewolf story, crime and romance, with humor thrown in in good measure.
The romance between Alexia and Lord Maccon reminded me a bit of the books by Georgette Heyer - brittle and intelligent heroines!

Thank you! Looking forward to getting to this, I wonder if this will be another series I get hooked on.

This was such a silly book, but I loved it! It will be another series to add to the long list of ones I'm reading my way through. One thing I did find annoying was that the author placed Canterbury on the coast, I know that this is me just being pedantic!

I put this on my wishlist because it was recommended in a thread about steampunk here on BC. I got as far as page 31 before deciding it wasn't for me. It's just a bit too fluffy.
I will take it to the Convention in Gothenburg, maybe it will find a more appreciative reader there :)

I brought this book back from the annual Bookcrossing Convention in Göteborg. I was trying not to take back too many books, but this I had on my "might buy" list for some time now. The only thing holding me back so far was Mount TBR... I love the Mercy Thompson books by Patricia Briggs and "The Girl in the Steel Corset" by Kady Cross and expect a mixture of them. Thank you very much for bringing the book to the Convention.

I started to read this Book on The flight to New Zealand. Either it was the looong flight or The Book was really not written for me. It was not very suspencefull on the first 70 pages and I didn't get beyond that.

WILD RELEASE NOTES:

This book is fun. Possibly more popular with women, a gothic romance and mystery, with lots of humour. Hope you like it. I picked it up in holiday park near Fox Glacier in New Zealand and read it by candlelight as all power lost during Cyclone Ita! It cheered me up.
