One for the Money (Stephanie Plum, No. 1)
2 journalers for this copy...
The first book in Stephanie Plum series. I've seen the series is very popular in the local bookstores and plenty of people seem to like it, but I haven't so far tried any books in the series (I guess it sounds a bit too girly for my taste), so it's time to see what the fuzz is about and how I like it. And it definitely sounds like the first book is the place to start.
"Janet Evanovich makes a major debut with this witty and critically acclaimed crime novel. Meet Stephanie Plum of Trenton, New Jersey. She's a rookie bail bondswoman who has the awkward habit of leaping first and looking later when she's out snagging bail jumpers. It's not a job for the faint at heart, but it's tailor-made for Stephanie Plum."
A fun read. A female Kinky Friedman with a hint of Bridget Jones.

... And some Stephanie Plum. A funny female bounty hunter :) this series has now nearly 20 books, and it's pretty popular - of course it's best to start the first book of the series (aka this).
Safe journey little book - I hope you'll make many new friends on your travels!
"Don't ever apologize to an author for buying something in paperback, or taking it out from a library (that's what they're there for. Use your library). Don't apologize to this author for buying books second hand, or getting them from bookcrossing or borrowing a friend's copy. What's important to me is that people read the books and enjoy them, and that, at some point in there, the book was bought by someone. And that people who like things, tell other people. The most important thing is that people read... "

Good book and fast to read. Grandma Mazur was my favorite character.
