Bought from Awesome Books. I found this a haunting novel and the cold and the troubles of the space explorers were ever present in my mind even though technically the voyage seemed unrealistic. The one-way voyage to Titan with existing technology was a great idea. The ending was very imaginative and unexpected.
The other troubling and fascinating part of the story with the destructive growth of unreasoning conflict between two inflexibly governed super-powers a fundamentalist US and a reactionary China. Consequences, dire in the extreme. This is the key book page for my readings on the human exploration and understanding of the outer moons of the solar system. Other books and stories:
