Goodness, on my bookshelf for more than six years! I enjoyed this book very much. It was quick to read with the very short chapters and the story grew little by little as we moved back into Disa's life and learned of her tragedies and possibly the reason she was so hard on her employees and struggled in her later relationships. Her growing up in the harsh Icelandic environment, the difficult relationship with her mother and the affect it had on her later in life, the tragic loss of her lover Jakob during the war, her interesting relationship with Anthony and the giving up of her illegitimate child all contributed to the telling of the story.

We travelled to the Graincorp Silo Art in Brim today and found the added bonus of "The Journey Home" sitting in the tree. What a nice surprise! I'm really looking forward to reading it, and sending it on its travels again :)
