Journal Entry 1 by lovemylife from Campbellsport, Wisconsin USA on Wednesday, September 07, 2011
The author sets out to prove that animals have compassion towards people and other animals. She uses many stories to prove her point, and I do believe she is right. Many years ago I took my dogs for a walk in the woods by our lake. This included a large swampy area. At the time I had a cocker spaniel and a couple of labs. The cocker ran towards the lake and got stuck in the swamp. No way could I get over there to pull her out without getting stuck myself. As I was beginning to despair, one of the labs ran over, grabbed her by the collar and pulled her out.

I missed this when journaling your box. I loved this collection of stories showing animal compassion towards humans and other animals. I'm going to pass this on to my sister to leave in the waiting room of the vet's office she works at.
