The Butcher's Boy
2 journalers for this copy...
Fellow BC'er yellerjacket77 was kind enough to send me The Butcher's Boy. I liked it so well I bought both The Butcher's Boy and Sleeping Dogs for my own release!! And I certainly plan on checking out more of the Thomas Perry books.

Since you had some mysteries and thrillers on your bookshelf, thought I would take a chance and send you the two Thomas Perry books - Butcher's Boy and Sleeping Dogs. Got them on recommendation from yellerjacket77. A very different style of writing for this type of story.

Thanks! What a nice surprise... I haven't heard of this author before, but these do look like good books.
On an unrelated note: I've gotten lots of extra items with books from other bookcrossers... keychains, postcards, even some tea! But this is the first time someone has sent family pictures. :) Cute kids... pretty horse!

An interesting book... I like the writing and I'll recommend this book to anyone looking for a quick, light action story.
But - The cops are all incompetent and The Man is too unlucky to be believable. Not sure I like how the ending was handled... after 300 pages of buildup they skip the payoff and go straight to the epilogue.
