How can I ignore a Dark-Hunter book ... ??

Wow, that was the worst read in this great series! After "Archeron" is was going a bit downhill but I really liked the old characters and learning more about them. Especially the were-hunters are my new favourites :-)
In this book nothing really fits together. There was absolutely no punishment for the death of the Dark Hunters ? We all make mistakes? Abigail was not likable at all. She never felt welcome by her adpotive Apollite father and yet she starts killing DHs at his comman?
Can we please move back to Savitar, the were-hunters and the coming war?
All I can say is that I really hope that the Dark Hunter series does not go the way of the Anita Blake series!!
