Amazon Editorial Review
1940s Hollywood comes alive in this sequel to The Prince of Beverly Hills.
Rick Barron—former Beverly Hills cop, now head of production of Centurion pictures—returns in a page turning novel of murder, political intrigue, and betrayal. Set in 1940s Hollywood, it is the era of the “Red Scare”—when almost anyone could be suspect.

It was alright, but not Woods' best book.

Received from fathermurphy.
I really liked this story. It had to do with the MaCarthy era congressional grilling on those who joined or who they thought had joined the communist party. That was an underlying theme. But the murder of a up and coming star for a movie studio was the main focus. along with Rick Barrons elevation from head of security to head of production and direction. Interesting.
This book is now in the Mystery/Thriller VBB.
