Journal Entry 1 by crimson-tide from Balingup, Western Australia Australia on Saturday, August 20, 2011
Book 3 of The Hunger Games Trilogy. Not perfect, but a pretty good third book. I enjoyed it. There's been a lot of controversy and discussion in reviews regarding this one. Seems to separate into those who didn't like it because it didn't have a standard 'fantasy' type trajectory and ending, and those who appreciated that Collins may in fact have been trying to achieve something quite different here. And she did. War is futile. It warps and damages everything it doesn't kill. I won't say too much, or reprint any reviews here. Read the book first and then read the reviews. Placed into the Sci-Fi/Fantasy VBB.
