Journal Entry 1 by Schneefee from Hagen, Nordrhein-Westfalen Germany on Thursday, August 11, 2011
When Lord Woolcroft and his team break open the fabled Tomb of Artemis, sealed for thousands of years, they are astonished by what they find inside...
The Doctor and Amy have come to Smyrna in 1929 to investigate a mystery. The Doctor knows something very bad happened there: something caused a lot of people to die and an entire, magnificent Temple to be found and then immediately lost again.
But he doesn't know what is picking off the archaeologists one by one, or how it is connected to the terrifying howling in the night. And as he and Amy get closer to the terrible truth behind an ancient evil, he begins to wish he'd never found out.

Tardis-wiki says, Hounds of Artemis was originally announced for release on 8 April 2010, which would have made it the first major spin-off project to feature the Eleventh Doctor, and the first audio story to feature the Doctor and Amy, but it was subsequently delayed to 3 June. Shortly after, it was delayed to April 2011. It was then delayed again, for unknown reasons, until the 5th May 2011
I think it would have made more sense to release it 2010 because of those little hints to the early series 5, e.g. fish fingers and custard or the crack in the wall of the temple.
The story was originally going to be read by Matt Smith and Karen Gillan, but for unknown reasons, Gillan never read it. WHAT A PITY!
I mean, I liked Clare Corbett (did she play s.o. in the TV series?) very much and she does a great pondish Amy – but Amy would have been even better than an interpretation of Amy
But, after being a bit disappointed by The Runaway Train and also The Ring of Steel (although RoS had been far better than RT in my ears) I totally loved this one – narrators and story and all!
It’s just that 1 paltry CD simply isn’t enough :-(

1 paltry CD isn’t enough by far. A very good idea to let two readers tell the story about excarvations in the end of the 1920's in Egypt.

I probably shouldn't have listened to this one on the bus. All that bachground noise and my thoughts already on my work - i found it hard to concentrate and now I don't really know what to make of the story. I need to listen to it again somewhere quieter. But one thing is for sure: it is really a pitty, that Karen Gillan didn't read Amy Pond!

Journal Entry 11 by wingdelfinnettiwing at Siegen, Nordrhein-Westfalen Germany on Saturday, January 14, 2012
Great story! Even Amys crack in the wall featured shortly. The best was the start though - coming out of the tempel a bunch of archeologist just trying to get into for the first time after digging it up - hilarious! I didn´t quite like the voice of the girl reading Amys diary entrys but at least half of it is read by Matt Smith! ;-)

These four audiobooks can travell on right away... I´ll ask for the next adress at once.

Edit 22.01.2012: 2nd PM to the next person in line for her adress.

Edit 06.02.2012: Still no word form SashaBWK - She wrote on her shelf that she was about to move... I´ll try the next person in line for these audiobooks.
