Hello!! The book arrived safely to Budapest! :))
I assume it got here earlier, sometime last week, but I did not have time to empty my P.O.Box.

Journal Entry 3 by hakkalina at Budapest, Pest Hungary on Monday, February 13, 2012
... It is a Christian book, thus some information was not relevant to me, but others gave new perspectives, confirmations about my knowledge, my life-style, and helped me to develop my self-awareness. I wanted to read this book after seeing its title, which called my spirit immediately, but I hadn't realized that it was a Christian book, until I got it and turn its pages. Than time I put back on the shelf. Lately I read so much regarding womanhood, relationships, self-esteem, how-to-be-happy books, and actually, somehow, somewhy, but some Christian English books also managed to find way to my home. So I put aside my antipathy to Godly text, and started to read these books.

I am glad that I did/do this way, since I found this book interesting, at least and especially the own thoughts of the writer were noteworthy and thought-provoking. And, my principle was proved again, namely everybody can teach us something new independently its his/her religions. Thank you so much for sharing this book with me!

..[68.page] Here I am with seemingly endless choices of things I can bring into my home, my life, my mind and heart, my memory. I can choose to be enriched or entertained, to be informed or distracted, to be enlightened or darkened. These are the things from which I pull ideas to ponder. It's all stored somewhere inside of me. I can continuously work to read and study things that will add to my contentment rather than promoting a feeling of dissatisfaction or envy. I can create and nurture feelings of gratitude, joy, compassion, awe, reverence, charity and so on. I can learn so much that will be interesting and useful to me. It's up to me!

..[70.page] So I begin wondering if I have so many consuming choices to make each day - what to eat, wear, watch, read, surf ( as in "on the internet") - that there's the danger I'll be left without enough time or energy for .... pondering, time with family and neighbors and so on.

..[72.page] Hey, there will always always always be something newer, better, more powerful, more amazing. How do we find contentment in a world like ours where so many products are marked "New!" "Improved!" "More bubble action than before!" It's true with cars, watches, TVs, computers, clothing, even breakfast cereal.

..[83.page] I receive so many things in the mail inviting me to choose bondage.

..[158.page] I've been aware most of my life that everyone I meet has something to teach me.

..[175.page] So what then shall we do? Let's enjoy our blessings! The more I've thought about it, the more I've realized that I don't do that enough. Do we enjoy our days, our families, our opportunities? De we enjoy our food, water, books, freedom, health and on an on? This could be so big. This could be so important, Can you imagine how frustrating it would be to work hard and have wonderful things and never take the time to enjoy them?

..[180.page] It is often more difficult to be careful when we're surrounded by plenty .. by enough and extra.

..[218.page] I've prayed much as I've worked on this book, and one of the strongest impression that has come into my heart is the feeling, that each of you deserve to hear an honest "thank you". Why? Because you are so wonderful, that's why.

Quite an interesting book which definitely made me think about all the material things I have and why I have them and why I keep wanting them! It certainly wasn't about what I thought it would be. I'm not sure if I can change the way I love to own things and to have more of them, but this is certainly a thought-provoking book!

Hallo daar, gelukkige vinder!
