Close Her Eyes

At the library book sale they had some bundles of books from different mystery series' (2-8 books, depending) for $.50. How could I resist? This series sounded like one I might enjoy, so I picked up a couple of bundles because the price was right.
Murder Most British -- Det. Insp. Luke Thanet is concerned about the lost weekend of an innocent -- or maybe not-so-innocent -- 15 year old girl.

A wonderful surprise! Since I picked up 5 books in the series for a total of $.50 at a library book sale, I wasn't sure if I would enjoy them or not. I thought the mystery was well-written and I enjoyed the characters and the amount of personal detail that was included. A nice new British mystery series -- a police detective with a cozy mystery feel. Definitely looking forward to reading the others now.
Adding this to the Mystery VBB started by bookstogive.

Somehow I never made a formal release note for this book to the Bristol Book Exchange. It made it there shortly after my last note, and is no longer on the shelves. Happy travels! (and sorry for the delay in the release note.) Happy pandemic.
