WILD RELEASE NOTES:
Off to a new reader!
Arrived in Colorado in MaryZee's Bookish Bookbox - it sat on the maybe pile for just a bit, but I think I shall let this one continue traveling
Ah, I've been wanting to read this book - I believe it's on my wishlist! Alas, I'm out of books to trade into the bookbox, so this will keep on traveling :)
This book enjoyed a visit in San Jose, California before continuing (unread) in its travels in MaryZee's Bookish Bookbox!

Taken from the Bookish bookbox. I didn't have it on my actual wishlist, but had been wanting to read it for some time. Was so happy to find it in here - thanks for sharing!
Oh dear, I read this so long ago and it got set aside in the wrong part of my cluttered house and I just came across it while attempting to declutter. My apologies to the previous journalers.
I really enjoyed this - not only reading about all the books Ms. Sankovitch read in that one year, but also just the idea that she accomplished what she set out to do - read an entire book every day of the year and blog about it. And this with four sons [and a VERY helpful and understanding husband!]
Of course my wishlist has grown longer... ;-)

Traveling as a belated birthday gift; sorry for the delay.
Hope you like it!

Thank you so much, eponine38, for the wishlist book and the card, bookmark, label and stickers! No worries about being late--I'm always behind!
This book is not "just" about reading, but about Sankovitch's use of it to help her through the time after her beloved sister's death. I am amazed that she could read a book a day (with four children and a husband) and that she could write about it without spoilers for the books! And wait till you hear about the purple chair:)
Journal Entry 10 by etherea at Book Box, A Bookbox -- Controlled Releases on Saturday, November 26, 2016

CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:
I'm releasing this to the Many Memoirs Bookbox...
Picked up from the Memoir bookbox. Looks interesting. Thanks for sharing!
ETA: Yikes, I forgot to do a release journal for it, and now I'll have to do an ETA to avoid messing up the journal orders.
I totally love this beautifully-written book, which weave the author's love of books with the love for her deceased sister. I feel resonance with the author in many of her observations: friends' book recommendations, the link between reader and author, and more.
While there are many memoirs about similar social experiments, I feel this one is better written as while it can be light and funny at moments, the stories of her parents and her honest emotions of her grief, give weight to the telling, and she was able to get some resolution at the end of the year.
I am tempted to tell my husband that I'd do my one year of reading and he has to do all the cooking and housework for a year, just to watch his reaction. ; ) (Though I may just need that for all the books I add to my wishlist!)
This is a fitting book to release at the Mainz BC con, as the book did mention Berlin and Dresden, two places I plan to visit after the convention.

Selected from the table at the wonderful BC convention in Mainz to be added to my enormous Mount TBR.
Who could resist a book about reading. Magical reading, no less.
