I accidentally came across this book through Whatshouldireadnext.com, and it sounded like something I'd really enjoy.

8 out of 10

I finished reading this last week and I thought it was an interesting story. I like how Min Jin Lee touches upon a lot of intercultural issues and the things that second generation immigrants deal with, living in the new world but being raised by old world parents. It took me a while to really get into the story, mostly because I didn't really feel any sympathy for the main character, Casey, for a while, but once the story really got going I couldn't put it down again. In the end I still don't particularly like Casey, but there are plenty of other interesting characters around her, which keeps the story interesting!

Sending to Australia, happy travels!
