I was initially disappointed as I started listening to this audiobook because there's another book out with a very similar title and I mistakenly thought I was getting that one. My disappointment didn't last long. This is a very good "hitman with a heart" story about a German-American sent to assassinate a big baddie during the Holocaust. I quite liked the whole of it, especially the detectives' tricks for tracking Paul down. I also enjoyed the narration by Jefferson Mays (rather sexy-sounding!)

This one's off to a new home pronto. It was offered up and claimed during Iwillrejoice's Audio VBB.

Picked this off the list of iwillrejoice's Audio VBB. Thanks so much for sharing and sending this to me, Moody-Blue. :-)

I, like Moody-Blue, thought that this audiobook started out a bit so-so but it gathered speed as I got into it. It is a good "cat and mouse" type spy thriller based on a few historical events during the 1936 Berlin Olympics and the ascension of Adolf Hitler and his regime. Paul Schumann, a New York mob guy is given the choice of either going to jail or going to Germany, posing as a journalist, to assassinate one of Hitler's top ministers. If assignment is completed, Paul comes back stateside to a clean record and can start life anew. This story has a good plot, interesting characters and some nice twists and turns.
