Journal Entry 1 by BecFromMD from Washington, District of Columbia USA on Friday, July 29, 2011
This was a quick, enjoyable read with almost no redeeming value. It felt more like listening to gossip than reading a book. I love Judy Blume's books for young readers, and was also a fan of Summer Sisters, but this didn't live up to them. I picked this up at a yard sale a few weeks ago, so I thought I would keep it moving!

Journal Entry 3 by kristenk at Buenos Aires, Buenos Aires Province Argentina on Tuesday, September 13, 2011
I am a long-time Judy Blume fan, but hadn't ready any of her books in years. I came across Summer Sisters in a hostel in Bali in February and couldn't wait to see what her adult fiction is like. That book was ok, but I just never really got into it. However, I enjoyed Smart Women for the same reasons I loved her books as a kid (and found it a good travel read because it's light and quick - perfect for long bus rides, etc). If you are a Blume fan, I think you'll love it too!
