Took this one home with me from the shelf of one of the BookCrossers who attended the meeting at Terschelling. She needed her English books to move again :-)

When I started reading this book, I had no idea where it would take me. The blurp on the back cover only revealed something about the start of the book.
It was interesting to learn how society back then treated adultery & having an illigitimite child. It was also interesting to read about society in general in those early days. And about there the book stopped being interesting, the love story part was 'of all times and ages' and I'm no fan of those. This book was no exception to that general rule.

Found it in the green bookcase outside of Paddy's and I'm reading it now. I hope to finish it next week when I'm on holiday so it will hopefully see a little more of the world! Love this idea!
