8 out of 10

A new couple in town, with their sous chef in tow, want to open a restaurant. Unfortunately the sous chef is killed rather soon.

The already familiar characters start to investigate and in the end - of course! - the murderer is fount. (Unfortunatley it was rather clear to me, who the murderer is, however the book was very good to read, therefore it was not an issue...)

I think, I liked this book the best from all the orchard mysteries in this series so far...

Reserved for Rianonne...

7 out of 10

I've enjoyed the previous two books in the orchard mystery series. Meg is a fun character and I was pleased by some of the development with her in this book. She grows in each of the books but I particularly liked this one for the developments - with Seth, she is growing in her confidence with her orchard and in her place in the town of Granford.
I enjoyed the mystery part of this book and hadn't guessed it until the author gives it away. Often in cozies, I think the perpetrator is given away to early, so I enjoyed the wait in this book.
