People without computers?

What about relaesed books being picked up by people without computers at home or some other convenient interent access? Or some people may choose not to register though they might check out the website. We loose track of those books and the message might not spread. Also I told a friend about the site, she does have computer access but she hardly uses it, has no interest, but she loves to read and freely shares her books. How do we get those people involved?

Good question! I have friends and family on my "book swapping" list who also may not chose to post any journal entries. But, I'm still going to tape my BookCrossing.com bookmark (including the BCID) into the books that I pass on to them hoping that they will either post a journal entry OR that when they pass the books on to someone else, that person will post a journal entry.

There's going to be a certain amount of MIA books that way - I *know* several of mine have been picked up pretty quickly, but only one has shown up as a 'successful release' so far. People might also check out the site, but not post an entry and rating till they've read the book - I've read the journal entries on some other people's successful releases and in some cases, the picker-upper notes that they found it several days before posting. However, as noted above, I think as long as the bookmark is in there, maybe someone down the road will connect on it. We'll see!
