to this thread. I read and loved the book and was very hesitant to see the film, mostly because I don't like Nicole Kidman as an actress. But everyone else I know who has seen the film told me she was fine and that I wouldn't be disappointed. So far, I am the only person I know who hasn't seen it! I think I will, at some point, though
