O.k. so what did Team Boot do to bribe you? I can offer German chocolate if that helps :-) Seems like they get bonus points every time :-)
|
![]() |
I dunno - i actually hadn't notice until I wrote in this weeks point sup on the individual team pages! They just seem to know how to make me laugh! I was a bit concerned about accidentally favouring the teams with my friends on (Bookcrossers I have had a lot of prior communication with - or have met up with) but since I didn't know anyone from team boot i never paid much attention to see that it was always the same team!
bribes are always welcome, but given how short my attention span is I doubt it'll do much good ;) (anyway, we need someone to keep team wolf on their toes with all those catches!)

They just seem to know how to make me laugh! They must do with seven bonus points! Maybe one of the team members is your identical twin stolen at birth, because their releasing is so in tune with your humour!

Chance Card: Triple Time Challenge - Synchronise your watches! each Player releases one book, but they must all be set free at the same time nice card :)

Chance Card: Triple Time Challenge - Synchronise your watches! each Player releases one book, but they must all be set free at the same time it was a suggestion from a player - I keep a numbered list of all the 'cards' I have thought of and then get my house mate/colleague/whoever is near by to pick any number (without seeing the list) The list is still open so if you have ideas just email them to me (don't share them on the forum, they are better kept as surprises)

If I understand it well, 3 releases means 3 possible points, provided they are set free at the same time? Since there is an Ocean between some of us, there is a time difference of 8 hours and we already are checking the consequences of it! Seems fun to go for a bonus point as well; we do not need to bribe when we earn one :-)

Our assignment was to send a wish list book to another teams member. We chose Erishkigal and sent her Twlight Eyes by Dean Koontz. In keeping with the "eyes" and "horror" we sent the book in a mummy gift bag, in which only the eyes were showing. Also included were gummy eyes and a stacked gumdrop bodies lollipop with eyes on them.

Ballycumber was looking for a red release spot for his red book and what he found was the Christmas shop in Bremen's oldest part called "Schnoor". Santa Claus was already waiting for him and told him that he should better follow the trail of the dead now, it would lead somewhere special...
http://www.bookcrossing.com/---/8617847 So Ballycumber started following the trail of the dead at the Christmas shop. It lead to a Historic Place called "Bleikeller". The "Bleikeller" or lead basement is located beneath the nave of the Bremen Cathedral and for hundreds of years it had a reputation as an excellent place to preserve bodies of the dead in amazing form. Eight mummies (in sync with Team Cannon) in glass-topped coffins can be seen there: two Swedish officers from the Thirty Years' War, an English countess, a murdered student, and a local pauper etc. Lovely spot for Dead Watch. http://www.bookcrossing.com/---/10022421 And look what I saw when I went back home: http://www.flickr.com/---/6132589530/

and because we were so happy to see some sunshine, went for a walk and stumbled upon some pretty yellow Daffodils, conveniently located at a tiny Art Gallery in Howick.

Although not mentioned the same time here, the release was at the same time! For Spain it was Tapas Time, in the Netherlands Bally enjoyed dinner!

and released P.G. Wodehouse's golf stories (in Dutch) on the veranda of a wooden shed at the entrance to the golf club, near the 19th hole - http://www.bookcrossing.com/---/6935845 . That's our official release.
Unofficially, Team Iron had a sporty week altogether, as Bookguide also went to the tennis club to release a book there - http://www.bookcrossing.com/---/9972573/ , and Flewry released a book about wiffle ball (whatever that may be) on the bleachers at the softball field, http://www.bookcrossing.com/---/10128678/ .

I thought they deserved one but didn't want to get lynched! *scared* :O we wouldn't lynch you for a shoe fetish.

<blockquote we wouldn't lynch you for a shoe fetish.
bloody good job, otherwise I'd be dead meat at the Uncon (6 pairs is reasonable for 4 days away, right? i think i can narrow it down to 6...)
|
![]() |
we wouldn't lynch you for a shoe fetish. Only 6 pairs for 4 whole days? that sounds like basics, but what about if it rains, or you want to get dressy, or good support for walking, to say nothing of something super-cute to wear to the pub?

Vekiki I've just received a message from 'Postmaster mail notification' that my message to you, which I've sent yesterday around 7PM has been delayed?! I didn't need to resend the message. What do we do now?
|
![]() |
No worries - I'll add it when i get it :) you could try resending (still no sign of it here) to be sure?

Some sort of delay in sending. I've checked the adress over and over again, but it seems to be correct. Are you sure the adress is correct?

No :( PM it or email my other address and i'll forward it - ve dot ki dot ki at gmail dot com
very weird, anyone else having trouble? I've heard form passmaster in the last couple of days so i know it's not total lockdown (yes, I checked the spam folder too!)

I got the same message as well, and resent, and did not get it back. Did both my emails reach you (one about release, 2nd with pics)? when are you talking about? I haven't had anything in the last couple of days. I delete as go - whilst writing the blog I simiultaniously update the team pages and then delete each email once I've included the information from within - so I don't have what anyone sent last week to check exactly what I got from who

(Can you tell I’m excited?) It’s the P.G. Wodehouse golf stories at the golf club release, http://www.bookcrossing.com/journal/6935845. The catcher’s joined, and his JE says he found it in the hut on the 16th green, and asks if it’s in time for a bonus point.
Don’t you love BookCrossing?
