Space bookbox (includes YAs) available

I'd like to begin a space-themed bookbox. This can become a VBB if necessary, and though I'm fine with it going international, I can ship only to U.S. addresses.

I'd seed it with the following books, which include two YAs and one children's title:

Ascent by Jed Mercurio (fiction, trade paperback, http://www.bookcrossing.com/---/10349703 )

The Case for Mars: The Plan to Settle the Red Planet and Why We Must by Robert Zubrin (nonfiction, trade paperback, http://www.bookcrossing.com/journal/10349785/)

First Contact: Scientific Breakthroughs in the Hunt for Life Beyond Earth by Marc Kaufman (nonfiction, trade paperback, http://www.bookcrossing.com/---/10434041 )

Gentlemen of Space by Ira Sher (fiction, hardcover, http://www.bookcrossing.com/---/10374753 )

George's Secret Key to the Universe by Stephen Hawking and Lucy Hawking (YA fiction, trade paperback, http://www.bookcrossing.com/---/10433808 )

Milky Way and the Galaxy Girls: What Planet Are You From? by Lauren Faust (children’s fiction, hardcover, http://www.bookcrossing.com/---/10434125 )

One Small Step by P.B. Kerr (YA fiction, trade paperback, http://www.bookcrossing.com/---/10434131 )

Orbit by John J. Nance (fiction, hardcover, http://www.bookcrossing.com/---/10410007 )

Riding Rockets: The Outrageous Tales of a Space Shuttle Astronaut by Mike Mullane (nonfiction, trade paperback, http://www.bookcrossing.com/---/10409841 )

A Universe from Nothing: Why There Is Something Rather than Nothing, by Lawrence M. Krauss (nonfiction, hardcover, http://www.bookcrossing.com/---/10444140 )

..so I might like to play. I'd prefer US shipping also but I'm in Hawaii so media mail usually takes about 3 weeks one way. Let me know if you think that will be too much of a delay.

Also: as long as the box is fairly small, I prefer a physical box rather than a virtual one.

Hi, hyphen8. You're the first and only to show interest, so far. Media mail, to and from you, will be slow, but so what? It's affordable, and space travel itself is slow.

The net weight of the books is 8 pounds.

I'm in the US (New York) and would also prefer US shipping. I've liked both physical book boxes and VBB that I've participated in so either is fine with me.

Sounds like a wrap! hyphen8, please PM me your shipping address.

..together with another box, so I'm swamped! I'm actually still in the middle of a book I wanted to include, so I hope it's ok if I hang on to the box for another week or so.

Oh, and I'm completely intimidated now because all the books in the box look NEW and the ones I'm planning to put in...aren't. Sorry. :(

They all look good though, so now I have to make decisions!

Sorry it took me a while - I had to finish reading one book, and then I ran out of packing tape, and so on..

The box arrived with 10 lovely new books, and I'm taking 5:

Riding Rockets (from my wishlist)
One Small Step
George's Secret Key to the Universe (I will PM you about this one - the BCID isn't working)
Orbit
Gentlemen of Space

I wasn't completely clear on what you wanted for this box (Is SF ok? What about books for kids?), and my books are all used...so I'm putting in more books than I'm taking out in the hope that most of them will more-or-less fit the theme.

Note to biisbsw: this box now has more books than it started with, so it's probably ok if you don't do 1 for 1 exchange; even if you take out a couple more than you put in chefcrossing will hopefully end up with a good mix.

Adding the following:

First American Into Space (non-fiction)
The Listeners (SF)
Infinity Beach (SF)
Professor Noah's Spaceship (children's fiction)
Colonies in Space (non-fiction)
Space (fiction)
The Longest Trek (memoir)
Asimov on Astronomy (non-fiction)
October Sky (memoir)
Cosmic Light Shows (children's non-fiction)
Quasars, Pulsars, and Black Holes (children's non-fiction)
