I need advice re release locations for these books

I have some friends who give me books for BookCrossing and one in particular has given me a lot of romance books. However, a lot of them are "erotic romance" and I feel uncomfortable releasing these at the family restaurants like Denny's and Friendly's where I do most of my releasing, so I didn't release most of them yet. A lot of them are in the Ellora's Cave series. Like this one: http://www.bookcrossing.com/---/11728874

Click on the Amazon description to see what I mean.

Any suggestions as to where these can be released? Or, if someone wants them, I can send them to you as controlled releases for next year's Valentine's Challenge : )

I cross-posted this under the Valentine's Challenge thread. Thanks.

While I'm fond of well-written erotica, I admit that the summary for that one sounds appalling; heck, if even the blurb is badly-written, what does that say for the book? {wry grin}

Then again, I did enjoy some of the Gor books back in the day, and they're all about beautiful slave-women who want nothing more than to be mastered by some man, so there's really no accounting for taste - even mine! And the recent popularity of the 50 Shades of Grey books suggests that the whole BDSM thing might make the books you have very desirable indeed.

Off the top of my head, I'd suggest places like laundromats or beauty parlors for releasing those books; the patrons might like them, or they might find them hilarious, but either way it'd help pass the time. If there are charity-sale spots that you use (and if they aren't overloaded with series romances already) you might try leaving some there. And for more ideas, I dug up a couple of oldie-but-goodie threads on a similar topic:

Inside a Victoria's Secret
In the feminine or sexual protection area of a supermarket

Quite the plotline, I must say!

Gory had some good release suggestions.

I was releasing romances and feminist issues books at the local planned parenthood when waiting for an appointment. Most never got journaled but a few were with entries along the lines of the staff is havering a great time laughing at the predictability of the romance part of the story. So I kept releasing them there :)

I may end up just offering them as controlled releases, as I don't go to bars or Victoria's Secrets myself : )

adult spaces

University campuses can be ok. I mean some people bring their kids to uni but it is predominantly an adult environment.

Personally the books sound awful to me. But as someone said there is no accounting for taste.
