RE: Getting a good number of participants...

I know, its great! I love this sweeps and what it represents.
It's probably the 1 Sweep I'd love to win as I enjoy reading Australian Fiction so much, but as I host it each year I get just as much enjoyment from seeing Australian authors being spread out into the world.

*Finally* found something under 8 oz (BIG price difference for international mail), but I don't know if I can get it read by Friday since I just started it!

Well, I won't be able to post mine until Monday (even though I have read it) as Friday is a holiday here and the Post Office is closed on the weekend . . . so I'd say you have at least until then.

Don't we have the usual 2 weeks window? :D

TBR is fine so long as it’s mailed out (as Lamilla says) within 2 weeks or so.
Also note that Australia is almost a full day ahead of the USA.
The sweep would love to have you Hyphen8!

Did a little checking and the Hawaii library system has multiple copies of the book (I hope that means it's a good one) so If I run out of time I can mail it and still finish reading it. :)

Today I received a book from Second City Books in St. Louis, Missouri, USA. The book is 'Life or Death' by Michael Robotham, and the inside jacket reveals that he currently lives in - wait for it - Sydney! Could anyone in this year's sweepstakes possibly have any knowledge about this?? And if so, is it already registered so that I just label it, or should I register it now?

Many thanks to whomever sent me this gift!

Since I was mailing to a US address, I could send 3 books - by Priority Mail - for less than it would have cost me to send 1 elsewhere...so why not? :D

Today's mail brought:

Having Cried Wolf, by Gretchen Shirm, from crimson-tide. Thank you!

Tomorrow, When the War Began, by John Marsden, from Lamilla.

In an envelope with five amazing and beautiful postal stamps. Thank you!

My book http://www.bookcrossing.com/---/14399978/ from New Zealand has not turned up. I posted it the day we were advised of the winner as it had been sitting on my desk all wrapped waiting for the advisory And I see other NZ mail has gotten there.

I will wait a wee while and then send a substitute if it doesn't arrive.

One more

Big Little Lies, by Liane Moriarty, from bookwormess

Edwardstreet, don't worry on my account - you can see I have a great wealth to read. Sometimes, international mail is just freakishly slow. Lots of times when I mail a book to Canada, a matter of a few hundred miles, it takes two weeks or more. Also, I notice my book hasn't reached the decoy yet, despite my having mailed it two weeks ago. We both can be patient a while longer.
