CLOSED Books, Chocolate and Tea Sweepstake

The yummiest sweepstake is back! It's autumn, who wouldn't like to relax with a good book, a cup of tea and a chocolate bar?

Here are the rules, copied from BaiLong:

1) PM me with your name and address which will be sent to others if you are the winner/decoy (No PM = No entry). (If you only want to send a prize, and not participate in the draw, it's enough to post here).
2) Winner will be drawn on September 30th or thereabouts and everyone will get a PM with the address and name of the winner/decoy.
3) Decoy will also be drawn so that the winner will not know they have won till their parcels start to arrive.
4) Please keep the winner a secret, it is more fun that way!
5) The winner of this contest must agree to hold the contest again in a couple of months time.
6)If you are the winner, please post here the goodies that you received.
7)If you have any preferences for tea and/or chocolate, please state so in your profile and post here in the thread.

This sweep is international! This sweep is self explanatory, all you have to do is send a book (any genre, wishlist or not), some tea and chocolate.

Because of medical bills I can't afford to participate in HGG this year, but I can afford to send some things for my favourite sweepstakes. Sending you a PM.

This one

is too good to pass, so I'm in!

I love this sweepstakes, as it provides me with an excuse to browse through my three favourite kind of shops... ;-)

Ohh, the temptations! I'm already rewarding myself with chocolate a lot when I've been in pain or showed bravery while getting injections. This is just encouraging me, haha!

I seem to be the winner of this sweep :) :)

I received the book "Night Train" by Martin Amis from sakirmo today, along with a great assortment of teas and chocolates (collected on her travels, so I won't attempt the names), an interesting postcard and lovely stamps on the envelope - thank you very much sakirmo.

Today a parcel arrived with an American Girls book and a gorgeous looking chocolate bar :)
My sugar levels are obviously going to be high for a while!

Profile Image
The book is a tie in product for the American Girl dolls which are very popular with the younger set here :). I thought it a cute story set in WWII era America. I hope you enjoy both it and the chocolate.
Profile Image
I hope you enjoy both it and the chocolate.

I certainly will - thank you :)
Profile Image
Sorry for the delay. I hope it won't take too long to reach you.

I arrived home from work to find this fabulous box filled to the brim with lovely things:
The book Friday On My Mind by Nicci French (no, I haven't read it yet, but once I do, it will probably travel back to France)
http://www.bookcrossing.com/---/14676360

In the book a very pretty bookmark with an owl and beads on the end.
Three different kinds of tea, all of which sound delicious and smell fantastic.
Love the little tin that the loose leaf China Jade Snail is in.
Three different (and I mean different) kinds of chocolate, one of which has Quinoa in - looking forward to trying that! One with lemon and one with marzipan (which I love).
Three unusual bookmarks and three postcards. The floating pottery balls look really nice.
Two fridge magnets (already on the fridge) - one with a Zebra and one with German?? currency, and a nice chatty note to go with all of this.

Thank you so much for taking the time to put together such a nice parcel - you've certainly made my day :)

I always get a bad conscience when I see, how high the costs for people from abroad are,
to send a book to me. We can send books as "letters" for much less, and therefore I try to sneak a little bit more into my sweepstakes-parcels...
Oh, and the little fridge-magnet shows a piece of an 20 Euro-note. ;-)

I was meant to go to the post office last week but life got in the way! The parcel is travelling now!
Profile Image
for a great looking book - The Other Typist by Suzanne Rindell
http://www.bookcrossing.com/---/14758254

With the book there was a very cute card, a block of M & S dark chocolate with grapefruit & pink peppercorns (sounds very tasty), and a tin of Russian tea, which I've certainly never tried before. On the tin it says it is drunk very strong, with lemon and a teaspoon of jam to sweeten! Who would have thought. Looking forward to trying this :)

Thanks also for hosting the sweep :)
Profile Image
for your parcel, which also arrived today :)

You saw that I love elephants and sent: An Elephant in the Garden by Michael Morpurgo
http://www.bookcrossing.com/---/13726096
along with some black tea and Schogetten Alpine Milk Chocolate (yum!).
Even the note that came with the goodies had a wee elephant on it :)
Profile Image
for your parcel, which had all sorts in it :)
The book: The Absolutely True Diary Of A Part-Time Indian by Sherman Alexie
http://www.bookcrossing.com/---/13720942 which looks like a really good read, a cute postcard, two very interesting bookmarks, a Loughborough convention notebook (always handy), a block of Sainsbury's Belgian Dark chocolate with candied orange (yum - I love orange flavoured chocolate!), a BC release bag with an assortment of teas (Raspberry Rendezvous, Peach Paradise, Blueberry Bliss - I wonder who comes up with the names, they all sound lovely) and some BC labels.
All much appreciated, thank you :)

for a very colourful package :)
A lovely array of Twinings teas, a Cadbury's chocolate bar with fudge, biscuit, and dark choc bits (bet you all wish you were me now!), a pretty postcard and a book which has been on my wishlist for quite a while, Dead Scared by S J Bolton:
http://www.bookcrossing.com/---/14764948

Many thanks.

Thank you keeta1 for a wishlist book, The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer and Annie Barrows. A huge bar of Oolong flavoured dark chocolate, which I tasted some already. I love Oolong tea. This is the first tea flavoured chocolate I've tried. Thanks for the tea bags. The package broke open from the bottom, I hope nothing is lost. If anything, I think it might be tea bags.

Anyway, today is raining hard and very cold, just the kind of weather to cozy up with tea and a good book. The parcel came at the perfect time.
Profile Image
I'm pleased that the parcel has finally arrived! I was starting to wonder where it had got to, but hope you enjoy it :)
Profile Image
Pollyanna arrived today, along with an assortment of tea, lots of postcards, a bookmark, BC label and yummy looking chocolate! Thank you very much.
I saw the movie of Pollyanna many, many years ago, when I was quite young and remember enjoying it, so I'm sure I'll enjoy the book as well.
Profile Image
I've had a bit of a mix-up... but I will be sending my parcel shortly... :)
Profile Image
No worries at all, take your time. I'll still be eating chocolate and drinking tea well into the new year :)
Profile Image
your book, Gift from the Sea by Anne Morrow Lindbergh, has arrived along with some gorgeous and unusual stuff. A postcard from Vancouver, 2 BC bookplates (with your? cute cat on them), a block of dark chocolate flavoured with Blueberry, Almond & Acai, some assorted tea bags and a couple of packets of Rock Tea (most unusual and I'm looking forward to trying it!)
Many thanks :)
