EMAILS SENT CLOSED The amazing supernatural sweepstakes Round 9!

Well the previous winner has gone MIA and not answering emails and all that jazz so I thought I'd get this sweepstakes back on the road

To play, you'll need at least one supernaturally-themed book you're willing to share: Be it creepy, weird or fantastic, a fairy tale, ghost story, a novel of magical realism, creature feature, werewolf romance, ... -- if it has elements that "science can't explain", it goes.
Also, you need to be willing to ship internationally.

The Rules:
1: Post here to say you're in
2: Send me a PM with your address (unless you'd like to play as a send-only participant)
3: Wait for the draw; 25th August 2017 I'll randomly draw two names
4: I'll send you a PM with the address of the winner (or, if you are the winner, the address of the decoy :))
5: DON'T mention whose address you've received or what you are planning to send, it's meant to be a surprise until the books arrive. :)
6: Send the winner a "supernatural" book (fitting the criteria above), and ideally a little surprise too
7: Let us know if you receive books -- and if you turn out to be the winner, please host the next round of the sweeps after two or three months.

I received a most interesting book, which has been sent to consecutive winners of this sweeps:

"Dark Matter", by Michelle Paver
http://www.bookcrossing.com/---/13464317/

Thanks for the vampire jelly sweets as well, I love the fact that each flavour has a different name: Zara, Arthur, Henry...
I am sure I will enjoy reading this one... I love ghost stories! Thank you!! :)

It's official! I've won! And this is one of my favourite sweeps! :)
Thanks for sending a most controversial and intriguing book, I've loved your thorough journal:

"Tender Morsels", by Margo Lanagan
http://www.bookcrossing.com/---/14157479/

And it's a lovely hardback too!
Thanks for your kind note, I love the Greek Art pictures!

Wow! I've been lucky again!! :)

You are welcome : )
I'm curious to see what future readers think about this book. I hope you'll "enjoy" it!

Your "scary" supernatural package has arrived, with sweet note, Halloweedn balloons and skull keyring.

Thanks for:

"Dead Man Talking", by Roddy Doyle
http://www.bookcrossing.com/---/14653146/

This seems a quick read, and something I will enjoy.

You have been brilliant! :)

Thanks for sending be:

"Holes", by Louis Sachar
http://www.bookcrossing.com/---/14082242/

I remember reading aloud this book to one of "my children" when I was a nanny / babysitter in North London; I always wanted to know how the story ended, and this is my chance.
By the way; Who are the Holt sisters in the BC label?
Thanks for your sweet note, bookmark, and Portobello card (this brings back more recent memories); it has a BCID number, so I understand I must pass it on?
And thanks for the assorted BC labels, which will soon be put to good use.
Thanks, you have been brilliant!

The Holt sisters are my Great Grandmother Annie and her sister. They were born and brought up in Hawaii with their brothers and my Great Grandmother and her husband emigrated to the UK. The postcard is yours to do what you wish with it. If you journal it you will find where I sent the others in the book. You can keep it or pass it on!

Thank you for a most impressive parcel full of goodies! You even took the time to decorate the envelope with flowers and butterflies! :)

Two books:

"Storm Front", by Jim Butcher
http://www.bookcrossing.com/---/14115083/

and

"Prevailing Spirits - A Book of Scottish Ghost Stories"
http://www.bookcrossing.com/---/14566565/
(Ah, you know me well!!)

Thanks for taking the time and writing a sweet note to me: the "translator-friendly"ghost is already hanging over my computer, I will let you know if it works... :) And the postcards, well, one is funny... (yes, there is definitely a sloth living inside me!), and the portrait is beautiful, just my kind of thing!
Thanks for the yummy-tasting tea... never mind its smell, I have already tried some, and it really, really tastes like Apple Strudel...
Thanks for the beautiful owl bookmark, probably handmade? Definitely delicate and beautiful!
And last but not least, thanks for the lovely canvas bag, I really love its old script...
You have really gone over the top, girl... thank you soo much for all these goodies! :)

Wow, you are really spoiling me!
A book of horror short stories, just the thing for me:

"The British Fantasy Society - A Celebration"
http://www.bookcrossing.com/---/8097933/

Short stories by some well known authors, and some still to be met... I am sure I will enjoy this book!
Thank you, you have been brilliant! :)

Thanks for the gorgeous postcard, and your friendly note... :)

to Bookworm-lady. I am so sorry that I only got around to sending my book today. I am extra sorry because I know how long it takes for my book to reach you.

Meanwhile, congratulations and read all the other good books first.

No problem at all; in fact, I am reading the book I want to send to the decoy, so it will arrive late too...
This will add to the fun; I will continue receiving books for some time...
As I said, don't worry, and thank you in advance! :)

What a treat! Thank you so much for sending this beautiful WishList book...

"This Spectred Isle, a Journey Through Haunted England", by Simon Marsden
http://www.bookcrossing.com/---/14714970/

At first sight, I found Minster Lovel Hall... I was there! And also Rochester Castle... Pluckley Village and Hamptom Court don't seem to appear, so I am looking forward to reading about new and interesting places to visit in the future.

Ah, I love this quote:

"A footstep, a low throbbing in the walls,
A noise of falling weights that never fell,
Weird whispers, bells that rang without a hand.
Door handles turned where none was at the door.
And bolted doors that opened of themselves."
by Alfred, Lord Tennyson, "The Ring"

I am keeping this one... Thank you sooooo much!! :)

Sorry for the delay; I hope you'll enjoy the book I have chosen for you and the little "extra Halloweenish something".
Be afraid, be very afraid! :)

Your parcel has arrived!
Thanks for sending an all-time supernatural novel:

"Alice in Wonderland", by Lewis Carroll
http://www.bookcrossing.com/---/14557057/

Thanks for the "slouchy cat"bookmarks, just perfect; and thanks for taking the time and writing a friendly card to me.

I think this is the last of the parcels for this round; so I will be hosting the next one shortly.
Thank you, you have all been brilliant with your choices! :)

I am so glad that it has finally arrived. Other books sent on the same day had all reached their destinations sooner, so I was a tad worried.

Enjoy all your wonderful books.
