Book Travel Map

New here and have yet to release a book. I haven't seen this on the released books I've looked at, but is there a map feature that shows where the book has traveled? I was thinking something akin to the Indiana Jones red line map.

Also, I have an idea to release a notebook asking those who find it to add a note/picture/drawing/etc as a travel journal. I would direct that the notebook be moved always to the west, in the hopes it makes its' way around the world. I think it would be interesting for my 6 year old to follow along and have memento if it makes its' way back the starting point.

Sadly, no. But maybe you could contact support about adding that feature, or make a post about it in the Feature Requests forum!

I think that would be very cool! One way you could make it keep traveling west is to host a bookring for it, which is basically when one BookCrosser sends a book (or in this case, notebook) to another BookCrosser, who sends it to another BookCrosser, who sends it to another BookCrosser. This cycle continues until the last person on the list of participants gets it, and it is sent to the BookCrosser who started the bookring. There is a forum dedicated to planning them, which you can find here: https://www.bookcrossing.com/---/20
I hope this helps! :)

Great Idea.

I don't think the site has a built in map feature. But I have seen other people incorporate that into the journal entry using web features from other sites.
This is an example: http://www.bookcrossing.com/---/467432
It looks really cool. You can check out the routemapcrosslines site for instructions.

A notebook that has travelled the world would make a most interesting memento for your child.

Good luck. And welcome to Bookcrossing.
