but hopefully not my last release everby ModMouse
January 5, 2009
On December 19, I will be graduating from Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, KS, where I had transferred in from Santa Fe, NM three years ago. As a parting gift, I will be releasing a copy of Norman Vincent Peale's
The Power of Positive Thinking. This will be my last release in Pittsburg before I move to St. Louis.
It was at Pittstate that I had learned about BookCrossing. I had one day found a book called Texas Sunrise, journaled it, read it, and released it back into the wild. It was a while before I was brave enough to join BookCrossing. After I did join, I released (to date) 58 books over time, 3 of which where eventually found by others. Were it not for BookCrossing, I'd have more books taking up space at home than I do.
Though it'll be the end of my BookCrossing in Pittsburg, maybe I will be able to take it with me to St. Louis. Maybe I'll find a wild book out there. Maybe I'll find a used bookstore somewhere and buy books super cheap that I can read and eventually release.
To my fellow Pittsburg BCers I say farewell. To those of you who are "stationed" in St. Louis, I look forward to seeing what you have put out there, and I hope that I can put something out there for you.
