Getting caught...

...over and over again!

October 5, 2005
I am travelling around the world and I hope to see more of it!

Hi, my name is The Singing of the Dead, and I was written by Dana Stabenow. In the spring of 2004, a BC-lady called sleone bought me. She registered me on the BookCrossing site on April 17 of 2004. In May, she sent me to Leiden, the Netherlands, to Dokie. With me were about 25 more books and we were all cramped into a backpack, belonging to Dokie’s husband. Within weeks she started reading me. This was her second Dana Stabenow, so she was very curious about me.

My sister Blood Will Tell had already been taken to the Netherlands by Dokie in December 2003. After reading her, Dokie released her. She was caught by eMeReS, who was eager to read me, too. But as she and Wilmar ran to where Dokie released me - just minutes after receiving release notes, Wilmar won... Because of this event, eMeReS and Wilmar decided to meet! So after Wilmar finished me, she gave me to eMeReS over drinks. Later on they met up with Dokie too, ‘cause they live so close together and didn't know each other before!

Because Blood Will Tell already made it to Ngatea, New Zealand, and was welcomed there with open arms, eMeReS sent me there too. And it only took me a week by airmail to get there (instead of the usual two weeks)! Pluisje was eager to start reading and in no time at all, she put me on her colleague’s desk to read.

After a couple of months in New Zealand and making some new friends along the way, Pluisje sent me to a winner of a sweepstake in Australia; Frankston Victoria to be precise. Now I am on the TBR-pile of Mistlerose

I wonder where I will be sent next… Because I do like to travel.
