Bookcrossing at the North Pole

"The Night before Christmas," Aussie Bookcrossing Style.

'Twas the night before Christmas,

And at the North Pole,

Santa gets out his list,

And ticks off his last goal.

"I'm glad I've had time,

To log on to the Net.

I had boxes of books,

I'd not registered yet!"

Now the books are all journaled,

The reindeer are ready.

Rudolph's still on his cruise,

But he sent brother Freddie.

"My Bookcrossing Buddies,

Don't you worry, don't fret.

There's no room in the sleigh,

So I've chartered a Jet!"

So BCIDs he copied, and labels he pasted,

In hopes that his efforts would not be wasted.

"Now littlemave and Hawkette,

now charbono and Skyring,

On grooble and fushmush,

on mundoo and jawin.

Come join in the fun,

Join in the releasing!

So all the good Bookcrossers,

Have books without ceasing!"

So, as you sleep on Christmas Eve,

Please contain your glee.

You might just find a RABCK,

Underneath your tree.

And all those merry book elves,

On Santa's Secret Flight,

Wish Merry Bookcrossing to you,

And all upon this site!

With apologies to Clement.C.Moore who wrote the lovely classic "The Night before Christmas" in 1822.

....and apologies also to Aussie Bookcrossers whose names I could not fit in. There is just no name that rhymes with guinevere69! Really there isn't! And now I have a whole year to plan ahead and try to include all those poor folks who live elsewhere, as well.
