I enjoyed reading this crime thriller very much even though there were some lenghts. I didn‘t even noticed that it‘s the third book of a series about the police woman Anna Fekete who came to Finland as a refugee after the Balkan war. During her summer vacation in her home town in Serbia she becomes involved in a crime and gets to know in the end how her father was murdered 30 years ago. Even more complex than the Serbian-Finnish connection is the fact that Anna belongs to the Hungarian minority in Serbia. Her trip home is full of bittersweet memories and complicated relationships with family and former friends, who have become distant both geographically and culturally from her second life in Finland. And the actual refugee crisis affecting severely the Balkan countries is not left out in this crime story either. Very interesting read.
