Can’t wait to read Jacquie Bloese’s debut
Romance story set in Guernsey during WWII with a twist.
You know it’s a good read when you are rooting for characters including one who is from the occupied forces.
Definitely suited to be made into a film as long as Guernsey is actually used as the setting.
I need to revisit Hauteville House now 😊

On it’s way to grant someones wish list wishes 😂
Received in the post today from Chocbrownie as a RABCK along with another book by the same author (The Golden Hour). Thanks very much, I'll look forward to reading them both asap.
REVIEW:-"I really enjoyed this book, especially having visited Guernsey several years ago so being vaguely familiar with the area. I thought it was well written and I liked the interactions between the main characters and learning what it was like for the Guernsey residents during the German occupation. It made me feel lucky that the UK was saved from the same fate although we are so close to the Channel Islands.
I enjoyed the different slant on wartime escapes and felt the story had a satisfying conclusion."
My husband is looking at the book right now so may decide to read it.

My husband read a few chapters of this book before deciding it wasn't his "cup of tea". Therefore I'm reserving it for his sister when we meet her next month. I'm pretty sure she will like it, especially as she's also spent time on Guernsey.
