Fire Me Up (Aisling Grey, (Book 2) Guardian Novels)
17 journalers for this copy...
Book Description:
Aisling Grey is back-and in more trouble than ever. She thought being a courier would be easy. It's not. She thought being a Guardian would come naturally. It doesn't. She thought she could get out of being a wyvern's mate. She can't. And she never thought she'd be irresistible to men. But she is.
This book is going to be part of a bookring with You Slay Me, which Rianonne is organizing.
Sent as a loaner to Moonglow18 today. She will return it in time for the bookring.
Enjoy!!!!
I really love this series. I hope she keeps writing them. Thanks to NeedSun for loaning it to me.
This book arrived home safe and sound and in perfect condition. Thanks for returning it so quickly. I am glad to see that you enjoyed it.
This book was much better than the first one, imo. It did take me about 50 pages to decide that there was a plot but once itgot going, I really enjoyed it.
It is sitting in an envelope waiting for my next trip to the mailbox.
Edit July 11: Sent by air today to Rianonne
The book arrived safe and sound at my mom's while I was away on holidays.
I have a lot of BookRings ahead of this one but promise to give my best to read it as soon as possible!
Oh, that was a fast and funny read!! I liked it even better than "You slay me" because MacAlister is revealing more of the Otherworld and she keeps it such fun to read. I was speeding through it yesterday, grinning like mad and laughing out loud from time to time. Now I'm sure that I would love a Jim-demon too LOL
Thank you Rianonne! It was great to see you today and meet your little vamps :) I am sure we will be meeting to pass on books more often with all these rings ;)
Thank you Needsun for starting this ring and letting me take part! I am really looking forward to reading this one and will most likely finish it over the weekend!
When I started reading this book on Saturday I was having my hair done. I was sat having my hair pulled all different ways when I read the first sentence....You'd think that Hungary would see the light as far as second hand smoke is concerned, wouldn't you?
What is soooo special about this line??? Well the fact that the book is based in Hungary and that was where I was at the time of reading!!! This book was in Hungary!!! :)
(Hairdressers are lovely and cheap there!)
I totally enjoyed this book and don't want to give anything away so I will keep quiet! I will say that I found some characters appearing in this book a little weird and the author obviously went to alot of trouble to write them in :)
I can't wait for a 3rd part...well I hope it will continue!!
Thanks Needsun for letting me be a part of this ring and thanks Riannone for reading this and passing it on to me :) I have Morgaine77's address and will send the book out to her sometime within the next week or so.
Yippiee, arrived safely in Switzerland!!! I'm so tempted to bump this one up on my Mount TBR-Ringbooks... But I'll be a good girl and read the other books before this one... Well, at least I'll try to be good. LOL Thanks so much for sharing!
P.S.
Love the Kitty-Bookplate, NeedSun! :-)))
I've been reading
Book Two of the Witches of Eilean Series and needed something light and fluffy on the side. This book was perfect. :-)
I agree with Rianonne, I want a Jim-Demon, too! I can't believe the messes Aisling gets herself into. Love the unconventional ways she handles them. I thought it a bit weird that Rene would be there again, but liked it a lot. I actually have a theory now who or what he could be... Hmmm, let's see if I'm right or not...
A very entertaining read, thanks so much for sharing, NeedSun!
BTW, did you see that the next book is being published in November 2006?
Light My Fire: An Aisling Grey, Guardian, Novel I hope I'll make it to the post office this week and pass the book on to penelopewanders. Shipping within Switzerland, what a treat! ;-)

This sequel to You Slay Me was as fun as the first! The heroine remains a funny and endearing character, even if her dragon is not portrayed with as much depth. A very fun read..hope I get to read the next one. (Bookring, anyone?) Now this book is on its way to Finland.
The book arrived today, thank you! I'm really looking forward to reading this, as I loved
You Slay Me. :)
I finished this book a week ago, but somehow I seem to have trouble writing reviews of Katie MacAlister's books... I loved Fire Me Up, it was perfect fun and light reading. I'm not entirely thrilled with the plotline concerning Drake, as I think he's more annoying than necessary and way too stereotypical. The other characters are really good, and I can't wait to find out what the deal is with Rene. I just received Light My Fire in the mail yesterday. :)
I sent this book to atalante3134 in France 5 days ago (November 23rd) so it should arrive any day now.
I got it the yesterday.
I'm sure I will greatly enjoy it.
I went to the post office almost two weeks ago, and sent it to the next person on the list.
arrived safe at my house, sorry for the delay in making the journal entry but my computer went down in December.
update:
Great read, even better than the first book.

sorry for the wait!
Arrived today! I had You Slay Me on my list of book rings expected, but had not put this one down so was very pleasantly surprised to see it!
Delightful! I can't wait to find the next book in the series, and have already acquired a couple of other books by the same author!
Off to Hengameh now!
I've just realized I never made a JE when the book was mailed! It was mailed August 15, customs no. LC739701516US.
Arrived safely yesterday, all the way from Iran. Thanks, hengameh. I'll add it to my ring pile - I realise that I'm not on the list, NeedSun, is that OK?
I as a little disappointed in this one but can't put my finger on why. I wasn't as interested in the dragon-y bits as I expected to be and much preferred the murder storyline. Like the first book, I loved Jim and though Tiffany made me grit my teth at times, at other times she made me laugh out loud :-) Anyone know if the third book is available?
I've just requested WatersideKatt's address and will get it in the post to her asap. Thanks, NeedSun, for letting me join the ring.
Finally posted to WatersideKatt today - very many apologies for the delay but I moved just before Christmas and totally forgot to post the book!
Received this book and its great timing because I just finished the book I was reading.
This was such an easy fun read, I would continue to recommend this series. I hope to continue to read this series as it becomes available. I will return it to Needsun tomorrow in person.
Home again! Thank you everyone for a very very successful bookring.
sent by air today as a RABCK to Joy Lee

Oh... Thank you NeedSun for sending me 'Fire Me Up', it arrived last night! I'll get to it as soon as possible! Hmmmmhh... it's a RABCK, I'll see what I'll do with it after I'm done with it.
It was a great read! Jim the demon was funny, always starving all the time. Tiffany was on the nerves about her virgin talks.... Would like to lay my hands on the first book though....
Received today and was really surprised at how many people have read it! Its on my huge TBR list and shall pass it on afterwards, either to Readitswapit or to Bookmooch :)
