Felicia returns to the island to marry her rugged adventurous boyfriend Archie. Her mother, Jilly, feels that her daughter's married life will be all hiking and skydiving and feels the next door neighbor would make a much better son-in-law. Jilly puts into motion a matchmaking campaign which threatens a yuletide wedding disaster but with a twist in the end reminding everyone the reason for the season.
